Volunteer Cindy Platt blows her target out of the water on her charity walk

Cindy is one of our volunteers and an energetic fundraiser for us. Last month it was a sponsored walk, very much on home territory in our beloved Bushy Park.

“As President of Kingston Inner Wheel I have chosen Park Lane Stables RDA as my charity for the year.

In October I decided to do a charity walk, around the circumference of Bushy Park. This sounds easy but it’s further than you might imagine, at 6.6miles or 10.7kms. And with dodgy knees and age against me it was always going to feel like a challenge. I set myself a target of £200 and created a JustGiving page, and was astounded when I raised a whopping £1,540!

That definitely eased my sore knees.”

Thank you, Cindy, for all that you do!
