OPENING TIMES

We are usually open 7 days a week from 9am-5pm (plus evenings in the summer). However, please see our latest COVID updates.

We are closed Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year's Day, Good Friday and for a week during Pony Club Camp (end July-early August).

PLEASE WEAR SUITABLE CLOTHING!

For health and safety reasons you must wear sturdy boots or wellies and flexible trousers/leggings (no shorts or skirts) or you may not be able to ride. We also advise you to wear gloves to protect your hands and appropriate clothing for the weather conditions e.g. warm layers, waterproofs. If you don't have your own riding helmet that meets current safety standards/regulations, you can hire one for £5 per session. If you are riding on the roads/in the park we will provide you with a high-vis vest. Please note: Due to COVID restrictions we cannot currently lend our riding hats - you must wear your own hat if you are riding and it must the latest safety standards (e.g. PAS015 or equivalent) - please ask for advice if you are not sure.

MAX WEIGHT ALLOWANCE

Please note that we currently do not have any large, weight-bearing horses at Park Lane Stables and therefore the max weight allowance (with riding gear) is 13 stone (83kg). We may ask riders to be weighed before their ride so that we can allocate the right horse or pony to each rider. We apologise for any inconvenience caused and do not wish to cause any offence, but we hope you'll agree that we must put the health, safety and welfare of our horses first.

PARKING

Please DO NOT park in the car park opposite Park Lane Stables – this is strictly private for residents.

 

If you are unable to find a parking space on Park Lane, you can either park in the Tesco car park (2 mins walk) or for free in the Clapperstile Car Park near the Bushy Park Clapperstile gate and the NPL buildings (5 mins walk).

 

PUBLIC TRANSPORT

Park Lane Stables is just a 5-minute walk from Teddington Station.

 

Alternatively, bus routes: 33, R68, 281, 285 and 481 stop on Broad Street (Hogarth Pub stop) which is just 2-minutes’ walk from the stables.

After you have confirmed your booking, all new riders (including RDA riders) will need to complete our online Rider Registration Form (below) before riding.
