Explore Henry VIII's old hunting ground. Bushy Park is located less than 5 minutes walk from our yard and is London's second largest Royal Park after Richmond Park. It covers more than 1,000 acres, so there are lots of places to discover on your ride!

We offer one hour rides for all abilities:

  • A Walk Out - for beginners. NOT CURRENTLY AVAILABLE FOR BEGINNERS DUE TO COVID RESTRICTIONS Someone will walk beside you and lead you until you are competent enough to ride independently. You will learn to walk, stop, trot, use the reins to steer and sit correctly in the saddle.

  • A Gentle Hack - for novices who can ride independently off the lead rein, or more advanced riders who just fancy a gentle pace. You will walk and trot and there may possibly be a short canter for those who are able to do so.

  • A Hack or Canter Hack - for more advanced, competent riders who are able to walk, trot and canter.

Please note: If you are new to Park Lane Stables and you have ridden before, you will be required to have a one hour private Assessment Ride with an instructor BEFORE you can join a group hack. The instructor will assess your ability and then advise you which level hack is best for you. You do not need to have an Assessment Ride if you are a beginner or wish to go on a Walk Out.

Group Rides: £40 on weekdays or £45 at weekends

Private Lessons: £65 on weekdays or £70 at weekends
