This unique ride takes in some of the most famous landmarks in area, as well as the unique opportunity to experience stunning views of the River Thames on horseback.
Starting from Park Lane Stables we ride along Queens Road towards Bushy Park for a short time. At Teddington Gate we enter Bushy Park and turn left. Here we ride through the park towards Hampton Wick and Kingston Upon Thames. Depending on ground conditions we will be able to canter some of the way through the park.
At the Church Grove Gate we exit the park and take to the road for a short time heading towards Kingston Bridge. Just before Kingston Bridge we turn right and join Barge Walk.
Barge Walk runs right alongside the river all the way up to Hampton Court and is approximately 2 miles of riding with uninterrupted views of the river. There are opportunities to canter along the river providing it is clear of pedestrians and cyclists.
At the end of Barge Walk we reach the famous Hampton Court Palace. From your horse you will have an amazing view the gardens and the palace itself.
From the Palace we cross over the road and make our way towards the Hampton Court Gate of Bushy Park where we ride for another mile or so towards Teddington Gate before ending the ride at Park Lane Stables.
Please note, sometimes the route will vary slightly as one of our horses is too big to fit through the Church Grove gate, therefore the ride will de-tour slightly along the road alongside the park.
