Meet the Team

We're very proud of our team at Park Lane Stables. Each and every one of us work extremely hard to make sure you enjoy your time at the stables. We are committed to providing great customer service and extremely high standards of safety for both the horses, children and adults that visit us. All of our staff our CRB checked and each of our instructors are fully qualified by the British Horse Society.

Below are just a few members of the team that you will meet when you arrive at Park Lane - we all look forward to seeing you!

Natalie O'Rourke - Manager

I have been running Park Lane Stables for just over three years now and I absolutely love it! I am a Stage 4 qualified BHS instructor and have also studied Monty Roberts Intelligent Horsemanship, which used sympathetic techniques to train horses and their humans!

One of my main aims is to teach both, children and adults, how to enjoy horses on many different levels. My Intelligent Horsemanship training has taught me that you don't need to inflict pain to achieve a leadership role with a horse. This alternative way of training and teaching will allow you to bond with your horse and get more out of your riding lessons.

The whole team share my passion for horses and we all work hard to make sure our horses have fantastic lives; we have a strict no whip policy and every horse is well rested when working and they all get regular days off work to spend time doing horsey things in our 12 acre field in Claygate!

I'm so proud of Park Lane Stables. We might be small but we're achieving great things; over the last two years we have grown from nothing into the UK's third largest Pony Club Centre, we have helped hundreds of customers learn and improve their riding and we continue to support the local community and schools by providing pony rides for fund raising events.

Hello, I'm half Cypriot half Swedish, I have been in England for just over 2 years, I am studying for my BHS stage 3 exam. I am the newest member of the team I am very happy here the people and the horses are so kind.

Hello, I work at Park Lane Stables my teaching/riding background is mainly in show jumping and dressage. I have worked in many places including the Royal Mews at Buckingham Palace. I do triathlon in my spare time. and my favourite horse is Harry.

Aimiee-Jo Fox - Instructor

Hi my name is Aimiee-Jo and I am an instructor at Park Lane Stables, I've only been here since summer 2011 but i absolutley love it. My favourite horses at park lane are Sooty, Betty and Prodney. I have worked at all sorts of stable yards but my favourite thing to do is show jumping, and I used to compete for the wimbledon ponyclub showjumping team. I have my BHS stage 2 and am looking to do my stage 3 and PTT really soon. I love Park Lane Stables because its so friendly and the people I work with are lots of fun.

Hello my name is Charlie I am 13 years old and haven't been riding long but since I have bee at park lane I have lernt all the skills I need to know about riding. My favourite horse is Dodi. He is the best! My favourite jobs are grooming, mucking out and caring for the horses in the field.

Hi I am Rowena and I am 15 years old. I have been riding since i was 4 and have just fallen in love with horses. I have been at Park Lane Stables for just over a year. I loaned a pony called trigger, he is AMAZING. I have recently been to the Merrist Wood clear round evening and I got a clear round with Triggs, Breeze and Equus. Trigger was definately the best. Park Lane is so welcoming and out of all the stables I have felt the most part of the community and they have always got your back, I have made some friends for life there, also I went to church with Trigger LOL :) my favourite job is grooming and of course riding :) PLS rocks

Hi I'm Maddie, I'm 14 years old and i have been riding since I was 6. I have been to lots of different stables but Park Lane is definitely the best! I have only been here since the end of Summer 09 but it feels like ages! I have a loan pony called Prodney. I have loaned him since November. My favourite jobs to do are grooming Prodney and making the feeds. Natalie and everyone that works at Park Lane are all so friendly and I wouldn't go to any stables but here! :)

Hey I'm Mike, I have been working at Park Lane Stables for just coming up to 3 years now and I love the team and all the fun we have. I started off knowing nothing to do with horse and have leant everything on the way. Everyone at the stables are so nice and a pleasure to work with. Whilst I have been working here I have gaind my UKCC level 1 coaching certificate.

Hi my names Lucy and I've been at Park Lane stables since the beginning, I'm here part time so you'll see me mainly on the weekends!

I enjoy teaching the more nervous of our customers as I've been there too! By taking things slow, and making riding enjoyable I work with our less confident riders to help them over their humps When i'm not teaching or sweeping you'll probably find me giving achilles a scratch.

Hello, I've been working at Park Lane Stables since September 2009. Park Lane is very different to many other stables I've been to, due to the friendly nature of the staff and helpers. I've made many great friends including my favourite horses Teddy and Sweep. Sweeps even been for tea at my house. I usually run the pony parties due to my bubbly personality, and i'm a bit of a party animal.

Hey, I'm Wallis and I've been at Park Lane for just over a year and I love it here. Everyone is so friendly and the horses are all lovely, especially Achilles. My favourite jobs have to be grooming, sweeping and of course riding. I love Achilles to bits and wish he could be mine but I just loan him at the moment. I've made some friends for life at the yard and wouldn't ever think of moving.

Helper of the year 2010

Hi I am jessica and I am 13 years old. I love riding the horses at park lane stables and they are all nice. i have been riding since i was about 6. I loan Coco and love grooming him. My favourite jobs are tack cleaning and grooming. I came to park lane last year in July and loved it. Park lane is the friendliest stables all around and every one there is friendly.

Hi my name is Laura I am fifteen and i have been riding for 8 years. I have been at park lane for around 3 years and i have made some of the best friends ever! I love helping out with the PLS team during weekends as its always a kind and friendly environment at Park Lane. My favorite jobs include feeding and grooming and of course riding sooty! I used to loan Cloudy who is now happily retired and I own Sooty who i love to bits, Park lane is the most lovely and most genuine stables around and i'm so happy i came there.

Hi I'm Ines I am 14 and have been riding since I was 3 years old. I only started at Park Lane in the winter and already I think it is the happiest I have been at any stables :) I don't loan a horse at the moment but I love all of the horses :) I went to Wimbledon Pony Club show recently and won 4th in the pairs relay jumping with Trigger. At Park Lane I love the hacking and I really love riding through the river and jumping over logs and my favourite job has to be making feeds. Park Lane is by far the friendliest stables I have ever been to :)

Im 12 years old and love ponies my favorite horses are Dermot and Foxey. I started riding when i was about 2 and started helping at park lane when it first opened. PARK LANE STABLES IS THE BEST RIDING SCHOOL AROUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It has great atmosphere and we learn the fun way!
I love going to shows an jumping and my favorite ride in Bushy Park is when we take the ponies for a splash in the river! Also Park Lane Pony Camp is AMAZING because we all sit around the camp fire and we get to try a fastest lap of the paddock.

Tom learnt to ride at Park Lane Stables many moons ago with Marc and Claire Dailly. He was thrilled when Park Lane reopened 3 years ago and has been with us ever since.

Tom is a keen pony club member and he loves all the horses equally. tom volunteers on a wednesday and works very hard with the rest of the team.

Helper of the year 2011

Hi, I'm Lexy and I am 12. Iv'e been at Park Lane for a while now and I love it! The people here are very friendly and help you no matter what. My favourite horses are Ziggy and Barney but that doesn't mean I don't love the others! You will never find people as friendly as the people here.

Hello I'm Annie and although I haven't been here long, I know that Park Lane Stables is the friendlest and the best stables in the world. I loan the beautiful mare Florecne, and I love her so much, but I still love all the other horses.

Hi, I’m Issy and I have been at Park Lane for about 3 years. I love all the horses but no horse could top SWEEP! I love him to bits and I could never be taken away from him! My favourite job around the yard has to be grooming and feeding. I love park lane so much and all the helpers are so friendly! I have been riding since I was little in Wales but when I came to Park Lane I knew that no stables could top it. I have made many firm friends and I would never even think of moving away from Park Lane! I hope to see you soon
